Our Philosophy

Doctors at Trump Place - Holistic & Internal Medicine - Manhattan

At Doctors at Trump Place we practice a holistic approach to your well-being. We take a thorough history to be able to understand the BIG PICTURE of how the ailment could have originated. What kind of biological, psychological, or social factors could have affected the state of health for each individual. We don't just treat the symptom - we address the underlying problems. We are also very preventive in our approach - and tend to build healthy foundation for the future of each patient.

We teach our patients to recognize the tremendous healing potential that they have within themselves. We reinforce it in our workshops, newsletters, and individual sessions.

Our goal is to provide the patients with the self-healing tools, so that they will be able to maintain good health and avoid frequent and unnecessary visits to the doctor's office.

We don't believe in genetic destiny. Every disease is a biopsychosocial process, whereby the physical and the emotional realms are entwined and feed into each other.

We believe in correcting the mind-body axis by utilizing the very best of what the traditional Western medicine and the "alternative" Eastern medicine have to offer, including meditative visualization, life coaching, vitamins, supplements, and herbs.

Children under siege. What do we do?

Nowadays, children are born into the world of beeping monitors, TV screens, cell phones, computers and video games.  Studies show that children’s psyche is very suggestible.  During their formative years, children’s brains will be almost hypnotically loaded with what they are exposed to.  Often that would be noises, screams, explosions, and other disturbing audio-visual stimulation.

These kids are sedentary.  They eat bad foods.  20% of children are obese. 7% have ADHD and 20% are constipated.  They are on the phone playing video games before they can even walk.  Their social skills are pathetic.  I was observing the following in the waiting room of the vocal studio where I took my 11-year old the other day.  In a small, cramped space, the parents were all talking to each other, laughing and telling stories.  ALL the children were hiding in the corners with their videogames, engrossed to the point where they would not even raise their eyes.
Clearly, it’s time for action.  As a doctor and a mother of two children, I felt compelled to get involved.  With the help of dedicated experienced professionals, I have put together a comprehensive program for children called TOGETHER WE MOVE.
This program puts boys and girls face to face in a friendly supervised setting, where they learn their first social and communication skills.  Through exposure to movement, rhythm, and flexibility, children learn not only to strengthen their muscular skills, but also to take pride in their own appearance, and to treat each other with courtesy and respect.
In a fun and innovative format, TOGETHER WE MOVE sessions also incorporate nutritional education for both kids and their parents.  Sound nutrition is essential for mind and body development, and now more than ever we need to make changes in what many kids are chosing to eat. By educating our youth at a young age they have the knowledge to choose real food with nutrients over processed foods with artificial ingredients and too much sugar.

I am confident that thanks to TOGETHER WE MOVE program, your children will emerge with optimal weight, regular bowel movement, better posture, improved social skills, memory, and focus, and better grades.  If we intervene early, together we can help build healthier and happier lives for our children.
